California Driver with Ticket in Texas

If I got a citation in TEXAS will this be course certificate clear that off. Or do I have to do the traffic school program (Defensive Driving) that only Texas will take?

My license is in California, so I'm just not sure do I worry about the CA course for my CA driving record? Or does TX somehow get points on my record through some sort of inter-state ticket info exchange.

Bottom line: I want no points on my driving record. Just show me the course to take!

Traffic School 18 Month Rule

I got a ticket in Fresno County a year ago and I recently got another ticket in Bakersfield. I went into court and paid the ticket, they also approved me for traffic school. I remember being told that you can't go to traffic school if you received 2 tickets within 18 months. The court said I'm eligible can I still take the course?
