I have two speeding citations I wish to have removed from my record

Unfortunately, you cannot take traffic school to remove points or tickets currently on your driving record. The case must be open and approved for traffic school by the court where your ticket is filed. You can try contacting the court to request to reopen your case from 2018. If approved, you will need to pay the required administrative fee and the court will assign you a traffic school due date. Once you complete traffic school and the court has processed your certificate with the DMV, then the point would be removed and your driving record gets updated.

Please also note, the DMV only allows you to take traffic school once every 18 months which is calculated from the violation dates. If your tickets were issued more than 18 months apart, then you can try reopening both cases. If you’re unable to reopen the cases, then the violations will fall off your record after 3 years.
