California Driver Got Ticket in New York

Would I be able to use a CA-based traffic school to remove this point I got while driving in New York?
I'm a CA resident with a CA Driver's License. I received a speeding ticket in New York on 12/13/19 from which I plead guilty and paid all relative fees. In the state of New York this was a 4 point violation that transferred to CA as 1 point on my Driving Record. Would I be able to use a CA-based traffic school to remove this point? Thank you!

You will need to contact the court listed on your ticket or paperwork. The New York courthouse will be able to confirm your eligibility for traffic school and how the point is reported or cleared with California DMV.
If approved, you will typically need to take a state approved course based on where the ticket was issued.
