Mask Point on DMV Driving Record
- question from 8/28/2020 by Zixin, filed under Points and DMV
Can I take traffic school to mask the DMV driver record?
I got a moving violation (21950A VC) for not yielding the right-of-way in San Diego County back in January. I've already paid the fine with the court. I want to know if I can take traffic school now to mask the point on my record? Thanks.
TrafficSchool.com Says
Hello Zixin-
Unfortunately, you cannot take traffic school to remove old points or tickets currently on your driving record. The case must be open and approved for traffic school by the court where your ticket is filed. You can try contacting the court to request to reopen your case. If approved, you will need to pay the required administrative fee and the court will assign you a traffic school due date.
Once you complete traffic school and the court has processed your certificate with the DMV, then the point would be removed and your driving record gets updated.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Have a wonderful day from TrafficSchool.com-TVS #E1393.
