Can I do this course after I already paid the citation and past my court date

Hi,

I need to take traffic school for a past traffic ticket that is on my driving record. The ticket has already been paid but I didn't know about traffic school until now. I have a point on my driving record that needs to be removed but my court date has already passed. Can I still take traffic school?
