Can I do this course after I already paid the citation and past my court date

Hello Diane-

Unfortunately, you cannot take traffic school to remove points or tickets currently on your driving record. The case must be open and approved for traffic school by the court where the ticket is filed. You can try contacting the court to request to reopen your case. If approved, you will need to pay the required fees and the court will assign you a traffic school due date.

Once you complete traffic school and the court has processed your certificate with the DMV, then the point would be removed and your driving record gets updated.
