How Long Does Traffic School Take

Question (submitted on 9/9/2020)

Hi, I paid my traffic ticket with Riverside County and the clerk there approved me for online traffic school or classroom traffic school. I found your traffic school on google and I'm going to sign up.

I know the court said it is an 8 hour course I need to take and if I go to a in classroom traffic school I will be there a whole 8 hours. Or I can go to a traffic school split up on 2 Saturdays - but 4 hours each Saturday. I think the online option would be better for me so I don't have to get a ride to a traffic school as my car is in the shop from my traffic accident.

My question is how is the course set up and how long does the course take to complete the course if I do yours online?

Answer
Hello Blanca- The CA online course is broken down into seven sections. Simply read through the course material at your own pace, on your own time. You must complete each chapter a... Read Full Answer

Following a Truck and Space Cushions

Question (submitted on 4/16/2020)

Hi TrafficSchool team

First of all congratulations for the webpage it is really helping me to improve my driving skills. But let me add one specific point when you say:

When following a truck stay about 20-25 car lengths behind. This will better allow you to see the road ahead. This also leaves more room for braking. A safe driving distance in front of a truck is at least four car lengths. Make sure you can see the truck's headlights in your inside rear-view mirror.

I would say that we should increase the distance in front of a truck to ten or 15 car lengths because we need to consider the TOTAL STOPING DISTANCE of the truck (is pretty much higher than a car).

Thank you
Marcio

Answer
Hello Marcio- Thank you for your kinds words and reaching out with your feedback! To be a safe driver, you need space all around your vehicle. When things go wrong, space gives y... Read Full Answer
