Proof of Insurance and Due Date Question

Hi TrafficSchool,

Thanks for offering a convenient and cost effective way to take traffic school. My wife Natasha is taking your traffic school course. The Van Nuys court website shows that her ticket due date is May 26th (her California ticket number A******* says). However, it also says Traffic School Referral due date July 8th. So, which date is the actual traffic school due date?

Also, we paid the speeding ticket already and after she finishes the traffic school class online what is the next step? Does she still need to appear on court?

In case you know anything about this any help is appreciated. Her ticket cost was $1,206 which I found a bit excessive. I asked other people and they said that is very high. At the time she couldn't find her proof of insurance so the officer said and I quote you will receive something in the mail and then just send the proof of insurance. That's all he said. Could that be the reason why she received a large fine?
