Help with Parallel Parking

Hey I took the traffic school course and one thing I always wondered is about the way you're supposed to parallel park. Do you guys have a guide on that or can you recommend where I can find that info? It is especially important for me to know because my daughter is going to be getting a license soon and I need to teach her these things. Thanks so much. Amount of Time to Apply for the Learners Permit after Obtaining Drivers Ed Certification

I have a driver ed question about getting a permit. My son took his drivers ed class online and just passed the exam last night. Do the students have a limited amount of time to apply for the permit after obtaining their DMV certification from completing online drivers ed?
