California Certificate Policies

California Traffic School

Department of Motor Vehicle policy states that online traffic school course completion certificates are to be processed within three court business days.

Rush processing of your certificate will be made available when you complete your traffic school course Monday-Friday before 3pm Pacific Time. If you choose rush processing, your certificate will be sent on the same day of completion as long as you have completed your course before 3pm Pacific Time and will be sent via the delivery method chosen or required by the court. There may be an additional fee for this service. If you complete after 3pm Pacific Time, the certificate will be sent the next business day.

Traffic school completion certificates are only processed on business days (Monday through Friday).

Traffic school completion certificates are not processed on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday).

Certificates are sent from our office electronically to your court.

Your court, as proof of traffic school completion, will not accept student copies of completion certificates. Only the original Department of Motor Vehicles certificates issued by TrafficSchool.com will be accepted.

TrafficSchool.com must follow the requirements set forth by your court and the Department of Motor Vehicles regarding where to SUBMIT your certificate of completion. There can be no exceptions.

TrafficSchool.com will not be responsible for incorrect information on your completion certificate if the student provided the information in error.

TrafficSchool.com will not issue a completion certificate for a court that we have no formal agreement with unless the student provides us with written documentation from the court that gives permission for the student to complete TrafficSchool.com's online or workbook traffic school course.

California Mature Course

Course completion certificate will be mailed to you so you can present the certificate to your insurer to start saving with your mandatory car insurance discount.

Customer may choose a FedEx rush option upon completion of the course: $29.95 for overnight and $19.95 for second day shipping.

Arizona Certificate Policies

Arizona Defensive Driving

When you successfully complete our Arizona course, the State of Arizona and your County Court will be directly notified that you have passed. In addition, have your certificate of completion emailed, faxed or sent FedEx to you for your records. Included will be a print out copy for your records.

Certificates are faxed directly to the court within 24 hours of completion Monday-Friday only.

Florida Traffic School 4-Hour Course

Florida Mature Driver Program

Completion certificates are mailed to student and their insurance provider.

Idaho Certificate Policies

Idaho Point Reduction Course

Once you complete the online Defensive Driving Course, you will be mailed the completion certificate that you are responsible to provide to the Idaho Transportation Department to earn your 3-point reduction.

This may take 5-10 business days to receive certificate in the mail.

Idaho Senior / Mature Driver Course

Once you complete the Mature Driver Course, you will be mailed a completion certificate that you can show your car insurance company to get your discount.

Michigan Certificate Policies

Michigan Basic Driver Improvement

Successfully passing the online final exam will earn you a free completion certificate. In addition, we will automatically report your course status to the State of Michigan so that your recent traffic ticket points can be avoided!

Students are recommended to check with the Secretary of State about 1-2 weeks after completion to verify everything has gone through correctly. If they are not showing a reporting of the completion, student should call the school to verify the driver's license number and the due date is correct and the course will be reported again with the corrected information.

Missouri Certificate Policies

Missouri Defensive Driving

A completion certificate will be sent to you via USPS on the same day of successful completion of the course, if completed prior to 1 p.m. CST, or it will be mailed the next business day if completed after 1 p.m. CST. This may take 5-10 business days to receive certificate in the mail. If you happen to need expedited delivery, simply choose our rush delivery service for an additional fee.

Nevada Certificate Policies

Nevada Traffic School Online 5-hour or 8-hour course

Once you successfully pass the final exam, we will report your course completion by submitting form DS-305 to the Nevada DMV within 30 days. You will also be sent a course completion certificate through the USPS. Once you receive this certificate, it is your responsibility to report your completion certificate to the county court where you received your traffic ticket.

Completing our course is state approved for a 2-point reduction from the MVC; that means you can keep your driving record in good standing and your insurance premiums from rising. New York Certificate Policies

New York DMV-Approved Point and Insurance Reduction Program

Your course fee covers the course, issuance of your completion certificate and the automatic, electronic reporting of your successful completion of the course to the New York DMV.

It may take the NY DMV up to 10-weeks to process the course completion and update the student's abstract. Customer will need to notify the insurance company of course completion. A certificate is automatically mailed to the customer. This will be shipped regular postal mail and may take 5-10 business days to receive certificate in the mail. Customer may choose FedEx rush options.

North Dakota Certificate Policies

North Dakota Defensive Driving

The North Dakota Highway Patrol will be notified electronically upon successful completion of the course. It is the student's responsibility to provide a copy of the certificate of completion to the court if attendance is in conjunction with a plea bargain.

A certificate of completion will be mailed to every student that successfully meets the course requirements. The student should receive the certificate no later than 15 days following completion of the course. Students may make a copy of their course completion certificate for their records.

The student should present the Course Completion Certificate to his/her insurer to receive his/her discount. Students should contact their insurance agent for more information.

Texas Certificate Polices

Texas Defensive Driving

Your Completion certificates are included and mailed directly to you for free after you finish your Texas defensive driving program. Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive two (2) completion certificates: one completion certificate to sign and deliver to the court, and another one to provide to your auto insurance company for a 10% insurance discount.

Due to security reasons, it is not possible for you to print your own certificate. The original watermarked certificate must be sent directly to you from our office.

Please allow 5-7 business days for standard processing. The course must be completed by 2 PM CST for same business day processing. Rush processing and optional 2nd day, next business day, and overnight FedEx certificate delivery options are available.

Virginia Defensive Driving

Your completion certificate will be automatically filed with the state of Virginia and mailed to you by the end of the next business day after successful completion. Your Completion Certificate will earn you up to 5 Safe Driving Points, allowing you to get points dropped off your Virginia license. Keeping points off your license will help keep your driving privilege in good standing and your auto premiums nice and low.
