California Driver with Ticket in Texas

They say everythings bigger in Texas, including the speeding tickets! Can I take the course here in CA, or do I need a TX course?

If I got a citation in TEXAS will this be course certificate clear that off. Or do I have to do the traffic school program (Defensive Driving) that only Texas will take?

My license is in California, so I'm just not sure do I worry about the CA course for my CA driving record? Or does TX somehow get points on my record through some sort of inter-state ticket info exchange.

Bottom line: I want no points on my driving record. Just show me the course to take!

You will need to contact the court listed on your ticket or paperwork. The Texas courthouse will be able to confirm your eligibility for traffic school and how the point is reported or cleared with California DMV. If approved, you will typically need to take a state approved course based on where the ticket was issued. However, some other states do allow you to remove the points off your DMV record using a California Traffic School Course.
