Process for Traffic School in Fresno County

What do I need to do for a traffic ticket in Fresno if I want the traffic school option? Can you please provide all of the needed information? Also, what is the best way to contact the Fresno Traffic Court?

Note: As of 9/22/2020, the Fresno Court System is unable to process online payments for traffic school fees. If you wish to go to traffic school, you must pay by mail or in person (at this time).

Process to follow for requesting traffic school to remove points from your DMV driving record:

If eligible for traffic school in Fresno County, you will be required to complete the following steps:

1) Make a request to the Court
Requests to attend Traffic School can be made in person at the M Street Courthouse or by mail to the following address:

2) Pay full bail amount plus any listed administrative fees.
These amounts will be listed on your courtesy notice.
This can be done in person or by mail.
Make check or money order payable to:
Fresno Superior Court.

3) Enroll in an Approved Traffic School such as TrafficSchool.com
Upon receipt of your Traffic School request and fee payments, register for a Department of Motor Vehicle approved/licensed traffic school course like TrafficSchool.com.

All traffic violator schools will charge a course fee in addition to the administrative fee charged by the Court. TrafficSchool.com provides an online course at a minimal fee.

4) Complete Traffic School Course
The Fresno Court will allow the student 90 days from the date of sign-up to complete Traffic School. When you pass the traffic school final exam at TrafficSchool.com, we will electronically inform the Court of your completion, free of charge.


Need more time? Here's how to get an extension to complete Traffic School:
The Fresno County Traffic Clerk may give a single 90-day extension to complete your traffic school course if you request it before the original traffic school due date passes. No further extensions will or can be given.
