California Driver with Iowa Traffic Ticket

I live in California but I received a speeding citation in Iowa, how does that work for traffic school?

Good evening, I am in the process of doing traffic school course for the first time. I live in California but I receive a speeding citation in IOWA. I started the course without noticing that it's for California and the court that I was assigned in IOWA does not appear in the options to send them the certification once I finish. I just need to do the final test and I need to pay the citation by 12/03. I will really appreciate your help. Thank you.

You are registered for the California traffic school course for eligible tickets issued in CA only. You will need to contact the court listed on your ticket or paperwork. The Iowa state courthouse will be able to confirm your eligibility for traffic school. In most cases, you will need to take a state approved course based on where the ticket was issued.

However, the court may allow you to complete a California approved course since you are a resident. You will need to verify with the court and if approved, you can proceed with selecting the county of your residence and any court listed on our website. Upon completion, we will send a certificate directly to you to submit to your courthouse.
