Driver Ed in a Box® is Approved by the
New Mexico Traffic Safety Bureau as: Correspondence Course.
Successful completion of this program satisfies the
driver's education requirements to obtain a New Mexico Drivers License!
Driver Ed in a Box® may be used in New Mexico
by home school families. A family that does not home school must get approval
from the New Mexico Traffic Safety Bureau to use Driver Ed in a Box®.
Many of the course techniques are not typically taught in commercial
or high school driver's education courses.
SPECIAL NOTE:
New Mexico teens must take some form of driver education. You are required to take it through your public school, a commercial driving school or you may qualify to use our correspondence course.
To qualify to use the Driver Ed in a Box® correspondence course, you must meet one of the two following conditions:
1. You are home-schooled or;
2. There are special circumstances that make it necessary for you to take a correspondence course
