Course Eligibility Requirements
You may elect to go to an approved Traffic Violator School for select vehicle violations. You must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be eligible for a Traffic Violator School Class in San Francisco:

- You have a current, valid driver's license.
- You haven't attended (or are currently attending) a traffic violator school program for a separate infraction earned within the last 18 months of the date of your current citation.
WARNING NOTICE: If you attend traffic school but ARE NOT eligible to attend traffic school, the traffic violator school fees you paid will be lost and the California DMV will be contacted and notified of your conviction. This conviction will be show up on your official driving record.
Signing up for traffic school
After paying your traffic school fees to the court and your eligibility for traffic school has been confirmed, you will be mailed a Traffic School Agreement with a disposition date listed. You may attend only a San Francisco Superior Court Approved Online Traffic School such as TrafficSchool.com. Taking a non-approved traffic school course will not dismiss any violation points from your DMV record.
