Yavapai County Defensive Driving School Option
In Yavapai, if you are eligible for and take an approved defensive driving school, your citation will be dropped and points will not go on your MVD driving record.
Most minor moving violations that did not result in death or serious injury are eligible.
If you took defensive driving in the past 24 months to the date of your current citation, you CANNOT go to defensive driving school again for this citation.
Also, Defensive Driving School IS NOT available to you if you possess a current Commercial Drivers License.

The City and Justice Courts are located in the Yavapai County Courthouse at 120 S. Cortez in downtown Prescott. Local parking can be found in the city lot on Granite St. behind "Whiskey Row" and on Marina St. just South of Union St. PLEASE do not park in any ticketed Two-hour parking spots.
Yavapai County Courthouse Hours 8am - 5pm Monday through Fridays, except holidays.
